INTERNATIONAL PIANO ACADEMY
The International Piano Academy is the piano studio founded and directed by concert pianist Margalida Moll Salord.
Specialising in classical piano and music theory, the Academy offers highly personalised tuition shaped around each student’s abilities, aspirations and musical development. Lessons combine rigorous technical training and musicianship with artistic expression, confidence and individuality.
The aim is not simply to teach students how to play the piano, but to help them become thoughtful, expressive musicians and develop a lasting relationship with music.
Music is much more than learning – it is about expression, growth, and connection.
FOUNDER
Margalida Moll Salord is an internationally performing classical pianist and dedicated piano educator with more than ten years of teaching experience. As Founder and Director of the International Piano Academy, she brings the artistic, technical and interpretative experience of the concert stage directly into her teaching.
Her musical training includes the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music, London, where she completed her Bachelor of Music with Honours and Master of Performance in Piano with Distinction.
Her teaching combines technical excellence, musicality, healthy posture and movement, interpretation and independent musicianship. She prepares students for ABRSM and Trinity examinations, competitions, conservatoire and university entrance, and gives masterclasses to students pursuing higher musical studies.
Her students have achieved top prizes in piano competitions, including the London Youth Piano Competition and the King’s Piano Competition.

TESTIMONIALS
A selection of experiences from students and families of the International Piano Academy.
“Margalida always provides me with excellent lessons with comprehensive instructions. She is a kind and knowledgeable teacher who encouraged me to take the ABRSM exams. I got Distinction for both in Grade 5 Music Theory and Grade 8 Piano thanks to her.”
— Haurka Ito · Japan
“Margalida is an extraordinary piano teacher. She was able to push my 12 years old daughter to improve her piano skills and have fun at the same time. Margalida is able to incentivize “hard work” in a way that students feel it is not hard! In the end of the year my daughter passed the ABRSM grade 2 exam with distinction.”
— Hugo Pinto · Portugal
“My son had piano lessons with Margalida for about two years as part of his diploma program. He had a wonderful experience with this brilliant professional. Margalida has an amazing teaching style, and she did her best to ensure my son enjoyed the piano lessons. I truly appreciate how she tailored each lesson considering his personality, learning style, and goals, being very sensitive to his needs. This approach tremendously helped my son to learn piano. Even more, since taking piano lessons with Margalida he has been playing and practicing the piano happily and voluntarily self-learning new pieces. Margalida is an extremely kind and experienced teacher with a lot of patience and enthusiasm; she was always looking for my son’s best interests. I was very impressed by how she encouraged and helped him present his piano pieces at a concert for the first time in his life. This was a wonderful, motivating, and educational experience for the whole family. I am so very thankful that my son received such an excellent music education. Based on my experience and observations above, I highly recommend Margalida to anyone looking for a piano teacher for their children. She is a wonderful teacher.”
